Personal

I have always wanted to be an architect for as long as I can remember. I grew up living in a house on a lagoon in Manahawkin, New Jersey. So I've spent plenty of time out on the bay in a boat and going to the beach on Long Beach Island. The Jersey Shore was and still is a great place to grow up and visit. After high school I had the opportunity to move to Alaska to spend some time with my mom before going off to college full time to study architecture at the University of Idaho in 1985. While living in Alaska I was hired by a architectural firm and worked as a draftsman on a few large projects, including the new Anchorage Police Headquarters and one of the last North Slope housing projects for ARCO up at Prudhoe Bay.
Architect — John and his Family in Waretown, NJ
I'm married to a lovely woman with 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl.... so I know about family life. Growing up in Manahawkin, NJ (graduated from Southern Regional High School in 1983) I have experienced all the Jersey Shore has to offer and know the area well. I enjoy spending quality time with my family, which running my business from a home office allows. I have been a stay at home dad now for over 17 years, so I know my way around the house.

About

I have been working in architecture and construction on Long Beach Island and the surrounding area since 1988.I have hands on experience in construction having fully renovated my first house I purchased in 1992. Then in 1998 I designed and built the home I currently live in. The house was framed by a friend of mine and myself. All the electrical, plumbing, heating, trimming and finishing was done by myself.

I have been a licensed architect in the state of New Jersey since 1995. In 1995 I also became a member of the AIA, American Institute of Architects. I established my own architectural firm in 1997 after working 7-1/2 years for a local architect. I decided to open my own firm, where I'm better able to service the architectural needs of my clients, in a more personal way through all phases of their project. Since opening my office in January of 1997, I've had the opportunity to work on many different types of new construction and renovation projects at the Jersey Shore.
